Im so happy to finally being able to share my new collaboration with When You Think of Home. So first let me tell you a bit about this amazing new project and then I’ll share the background story of the print. I’m honoured to be apart of this collective and to share my art print for this greater purpose.

After a long period of planning, prepping and some trial and error me and my husband Adrian have finally released our new product category in our Faber Co. shop for digital design assets - Mockups. I have had a crush on mockups ever since a started to create patterns a few years ago. It’s just something special with being able to visualise your patterns on products isn’t it? All of you pattern lovers out there probably can feel me on this one, am I right? I’ve myself have both…

A couple of days ago I published a new class on Skillshare where I teach how to sketch and draw vector based motifs in Adobe Fresco, link to class: https://skl.sh/30ZMQXf . Since then I’ve got a bunch of questions about my thoughts of Fresco and how I think that it compares to Adobes previous vector drawing app Adobe Draw. So in this blog post I’ll try to answer all of the questions that I’ve got and will give you my point of view on Adobes Fresco as a vector drawing app. 

I’ve got news for you! Do you know that I celebrated 1 year as a business owner recently? I started my business and life as a creative entrepreneur September 1st 2018. A lot can happen in a year and I’m so proud of what I’ve accomplished - I’ve debuted as a fabric designer with not only one but two fabric collections, I’ve published seven online classes and became a Skillshare Top Teacher (one of the top 1% of all teachers on the entire platform) and there’s ten times more lovely people who follow my work and creative life online then it was a year ago…

On a more personal note the biggest news is that I’ve gotten married, to Adrian - the love of my life. And as we wanted to have the same surname and I absolutely adore his, I’ve changed my name to Maja Faber (previously Rönnbäck). With the name change comes a great opportunity for some rebranding and redesign of my website and I’m so excited to finally release my new brand and website for you today.

I have some really exciting news to share - I recently became a Top Teacher on Skillshare, which means that I'm considered the top 1 percent of best teachers on the entire platform. I'm so honoured and proud and I really couldn't have done it without all of my amazing students who watch my classes, gives me such great feedback and lovely reviews.

Today I've launched my new Christmas special Skillshare class. It's a really fun, 21 minutes long class where you will learn how to illustrate and animate a Christmas snow globe. I will take you through a few easy to follow steps in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, that will make you go from no globe to snow globe, in no time :) 

Today I’ve released my second class on Skillshare. This one is all about mockups! if you are an illustrator or pattern designer feel free to have a look at my new class. It's filled with tips, tricks and techniques on how to make your own mockups from free stock photos. And if you're not sure what mockups are and why you should use them - no worries I will go through everything you need to know about mockups in this class!

I’m so excited to announce that my first ever fabric collection is being released soon. Garden Glory is my debut collection for Paintbrush Studio Fabrics and is released within a couple of months.
