Here’s a sneak peek of what you'll learn in the class:

Step-by-Step Mini Tutorial:

Step 1: Create the background

  • Open Procreate and set your canvas size. I usually use 3000px in width and height. (And I start with the Pattern Perfect Template, which is free for Pattern Rebel members).

  • Draw strokes in different colors with the Monoline brush.

Step 2: Make the gradient

  • Use the adjustments tool in Procreate to blend the strokes and create a gradient.

Step 3: Add clouds

Step 4: Create the pattern

  • Finally flip the edges of your pattern tile to the center both horizontally and vertically and adjust the gradient so that the pattern become seamless.

Step 6: Test the Pattern:

  • Copy you canvas + paste it so that you’ll get a flattened image of your pattern tile.

  • Test your pattern tile in my free Pattern Tester here on my website.

P.S. This mini tutorial gives you a taste of the full class, where we'll dive deeper into each step and explore more advanced techniques.
